Sometimes I suspect Bill Gates doesn’t sleep so well at night. Not out of any guilt over his billions or the alleged mediocrity of his product. No, I wonder whether he might actually worry about the competition. Not Apple (though that iPod MP3 player is a killer toy, and I’m cheerfully typing these words on an Apple (AAPL) PowerBook G4). No, I’ll bet Linux and its creator, Linus Torvalds, cross Gates’s mind when he’s looking up at the ceiling late at night.

createTank adds more choice to licensing of XMLConfiguration Project createTank has added the GNU Lesser General Public License [LGPL] as a user licensing choice in addition to the GNU General Public License [GPL] already proclaimed. That is, the user may elect to use either the GPL or the LGPL license when using the XMLConfiguration class library.

createTank project XMLConfiguration was GPL’d and released for public consumption today. createTank has GPL’d and released its main Java configuration library today at xmlconfiguration.createtank.com.
XMLConfiguration v2.0 is a very powerful, yet simple to use Java library for extraction of configuration values from within an XML document.

createTank has GPL’d its elemenope project, and released it at: elemenope.createtank.com.
elemenopeâ„¢ is a messaging framework written in Java and JMS. It allows one to easily create a large scale multi-platform application to do messaging or transaction processing. It uses Java Message Service [JMS] for messaging, and currently utilizes IBM MQSeries [WebSphereMQ] for a Message Oriented Middleware [MOM]. elemenopeâ„¢ has been in development for over three years. It and some of its precursors are currently in production use within several companies large and small. elemenopeâ„¢ is pronounced L-M-N-O-P or more specifically “el-em-en-O-’pE.
