Defining an “open source vendor”

Wouldn’t any company that offers open source software be an open source vendor?  I think these guy are nitpicking…

MS Seeks New Open Source Director

Microsoft is seeking a new open source director to help formulate a strategy against competitors (OSX, Linux).

They should have just adopted an open source kernel (prefereably the Linux kernel) for Vista.  Imagine how that could have changed their future…
