Gloomy Forecast for IT Work Force?
eWeek serves up deception.
MS wants to downplay US developer/IT quality to make the case that they need more H1B workers, in order to:
1. Bring in workers of dubious quality
2. (And the real reason) to lower the market rate on US developer/IT workers.
The same holds true on MS arguments on security clearance requirements for US Govt. work (MS is against).

You know, I’m sick to death of the outsourcing of tech-jobs to other countries.
And not because I’m one of these “American Elitist” types, but simply because I’m sick of calling Dell or Microsoft support and talking to some guy named Raj in india (who insists that his name is Roger - how am I supposed to trust you to fix my computer problem if you’re going to start out the conversation by lying to me?) who’se accent is so thick you can cut it with a knife and who blasts through ‘troubleshooting 101′ without having the slightest clue what he’s actually fixing.
Being able to read in English is only the start. You have to UNDERSTAND English.
Comprendo?
